What are the different types of skin cancer and what causes them? What is a mole?
i’m a skin cancer survivor so i know a lot about it. there are 3 main types of skin cancer: squamos cell carcinaroma, basal cell carcinaroma, and melanoma. (idk if i spelled them right). Melanoma is the most common and most dangerous. I was diagnosed about 2 years ago when i was 12. It’s very rare to be diagnosed when you are that young and it makes it even more dangerous. Melanoma starts off as a mole typically. A mole is like a freckle except it is elevated off of your skin. A way to see if a mole is malignant (cancerous) is when it starts changing its color, size, elevation, and/or if it becomes an odd shape. I hope this helps!
