What are the different types of paging?
Starpaging offer three types of paging. Tone, numeric and Alphanumeric. Tone Paging allows a simple alert tone to be sent to the pager. Numeric paging allows a pager to receive a telephone number or other chosen numeric message. For example, StarPaging offer a 10 standard text message which may be transmitted to your numeric pager by simply entering a 3 digit code. If you wish your callers to use this facility you should give them a copy of the codes as follows: • 001 Please call work • 002 Please call home • 003 Please call (add contact number) • 004 Urgent please call (add contact number) • 005 Appointment is okay at (add 24 hr time/date) • 006 Appointment is cancelled at (add 24hr time/date) • 007 Appointment delayed, now at (add 24hr time/date) • 008 Your call was returned by (add contact number) • 009 Everything is okay.
