What are the different types of Ovens available and how they operate?
The most common types of Ovens available are: 1) Conventional Ovens are traditional non-fan Ovens which cook using only the top and bottom elements (without the assistance of a fan). EKL does not recommend using this type of Ovens as they can often allow the Oven door to reach extreme temperatures (this is mainly because of the lack of cavity cooling fans, which are essential in reducing the exterior temperature of the Oven door). 2) Fan Forced Ovens utilize the rear element and fan, whilst Fan-Assisted Ovens utilize the top and bottom elements with the fan. Fan Forced Ovens enable slightly faster cooking times, however the lack of a bottom element can make baking evenly a difficult process. 3) Multi-function Ovens can allow you to cook with up to 10 different combinations of elements and fans.
Because the temperature is more evenly distributed throughout the Oven cavity, multiple cooking options mean that you can achieve more precise cooking results. EKL strongly recommends Multi-
