WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF MUTUAL FUNDS?

0

Mutual Funds can be classified into open ended and close-ended scheme depending on its maturity period. Open-ended schemes do not have a fixed maturity period. Close-ended schemes have stipulated maturity period like for eg; 5-7 yrs. Unlike the open ended scheme, subscription or repurchase on a continuous basis is not possible in close ended. They can be bought or sold only in stock exchanges.
