What are the different types of licenses that I may qualify for?
• The vessel may carry up to 6 paying passengers plus crew • The license is good up to 100 Gross Tons • The vessel must be operated within the boundary lines established by the US Coast Guard • No time is required outside the boundary line established by the US Coast Guard to obtain the license • Operators must be a minimum of 18 years of age • US citizenship is not required for operating a vessel of less than 5 Net Tons (about 26ft). Citizenship is required for operation of a documented vessel-for-hire over 5 net tons.
