Ravenna Oil has 3 types of heating fules: Number 2 (#2) Heating Oil, which is used by most customers and has the highest BTU content (140,000 BTU per gallon). Number 1 (#1) Heating Oil, which is used by most customers who have trailors or outside tanks. This fuel has 125,000 BTUs per gallon. Number 1 Heating Fuel will not gel up or plug your filter or oil line in an outside tank during the cold winter months. Clear K-1 Kerosene. Ravenna Oil sells this product at retail locations and off the route truck. Clear K-1 Kerosene has a very low sulfur content and is the best fuel to be used in Direct Vented Kerosene Heaters. Some red dye kerosenes could have sulfure contamination, which can cause soot or smoke when burning indoors. Our K-1 Kerosene is completely clear. All of the products are stored in separate tanks to eliminate any contamination.
