There are 3 basic types of electric blankets on the market today. First, there is a duvet-like electric blanket for the top of your bed that can be left turned on all night. Next is an under-blanket that is used to pre-heat the bed, but must always be shut off before you get in. Lastly is the extra-safe under-blanket. If you want to leave your heated blanket on all night, then this is the one you’ll need.
