WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF AUTOMATIC POOL CLEANERS?

0

There are three main types of automatic pool cleaners: suction side, pressure side, and robotic. Robotic cleaners are computer-controlled pool vacuums that can scrub any size pool and operate independently from your pump and filter system. These robotic systems have an internal microchip that controls their movements and are generally the widely recommended. Suction side cleaners use the pools own suction, usually from the skimmer, to suck dirt & debris off the bottom of the pool and it is cleaned by the filter. Think of it as a water powered vacuum cleaner. The only drawback to these is that while using them, you are tying up your skimmer which limits your ability to clean the surface of the water. Pressure side cleaners use one of the water returns or a secondary booster pump’s return pressure to push the dirt & debris into a bag on the cleaner. Fine dirt is stirred up and eventually cleaned by the filter.
