What are the different types of Assistive Technology available for writing difficulties?
There are several different types of assistive technology devices available to assist with writing difficulties. Some of the most common types of AT for writing difficulties include portable electronic dictionaries or spellcheckers, portable keyboa rds, computers with standard word processors (i.e. Word or Wordperfect), software packages that read back what you have typed (text-to-speech software), and voice recognition software that allows you to speak into a microphone and have your words appear on the screen.
