Sub-categories must have at least 40 students to count toward AYP. There are 9 possible subcategories: African-American, American Indian/Native Alaskan, Asian/Pacific Islander, Hispanic, white, other/multiracial, students with disabilities, limited English proficient, economically disadvantaged.
