What are the different stages of Mitosis?
When we talk about cell division, we look at how a cell divides. This can be found in both plants and animals. We look at the way in which the cells divide for mitosis and meiosis. Mitosis refers to the division of a cells nucleus. Your book discusses four stages found in this type of cell nucleus division. Others may say five. The phases that we will discuss are: Interphase, Prophase, Metaphase, Anaphase, and Telophase. We will look at what happens in each phase or part of the division of the nucleus. Interphase is divided into three parts. These are G1, S, and G2. Different happenings occur here.
