What are the different neighborhoods/areas within London city?
London is vast and Greater London encompasses suburbs which are not strictly in London. London is physically separated by the River Thames into South London on one side and North, East and West London on the other. Transport links are better on the N,E, and W side of London. The financial and shopping districts are also on the N, E and W side, although there are huge shopping malls that service all areas. South London is more leafy with bigger houses but is also more known for criminal activity, (try getting a taxi to take you South of the river at night). East London is by far the most cosmopolitan with large immigrant populaces and slum areas although by contrast it is also accredited with the strongest communities. North London also has a large immigrant presence and some very poor areas but is also home to some of the richest parts of London, (Hampstead, Swiss Cottage, Primrose Hill). West London is home to lots of tenanted properties and has the lowest population density. London h
