What are the different lava types i know there is 4 types?
Lava is classified based on the chemical content. The 4 types of lava are: Felsic Has high content of silica, aluminium, potassium, sodium, and calcium, forming a polymerized liquid rich in feldspar and quartz Intermediate (or andesitic) Has lower content of aluminium and silica, and usually somewhat richer in magnesium and iron. Mafic (or basaltic) High in iron and magnesium, and has relatively lower aluminium and silica, which taken together reduces the degree of polymerization within the melt. Ultramafic Contains very high magnesium.
