• The typical HPL panel uses a “vertical thickness” (.032″) laminate, which is often only available in 4 x 8 sizes. For quicker lead times on larger sizes (5 x 8 , 4 x 10 , etc.), postforming laminates (.040″) and standard grade (.050″) are recommended. The average difference in price between vertical grade and postforming, or standard grade is $10 for 4 x 8 and $15 for 4 x 10 , or 5 x 8 . Lead times can often be improved by days and sometimes weeks for the larger / thicker laminates.
