This really does depend on the family of kung fu you study. Many styles of kung fu are very closely related, so much so that they are classified as the same style half the time. But there are key differences. Most drunken kung fu sets you’ll learn have a heavy wushu aspect to it (what I mean is that they will have more to do with demonstrating strength and flexibility than fighting skill). But then again this does really depend on the style. Most schools are businesses first schools second. Ask around and expect to get answers that denote a sense of superiority, but still in these answers you should be able to find what you’re looking for.
