What are the different economic analysis options available on REDDI?
There are six types of economic analysis that you can do on REDDI: • Competitive Advantage Analysis is an assessment of the relative specialization and growth of local sectors. Sectors are classified according to employment concentration and growth compared to provincial growth overall and to growth in the same sector provincially. Combined, these attributes can indicate the local competitive advantage in specific sectors. • Labour Flow Analysis provides a picture of the movement of labour in and out of a community. It compares the number of jobs in a sector held by local residents, whether or not they work in the community, with the number of jobs in the community, whether or not the workers live in the community. Data Source: Competitive Advantage Analysis (CAA) and Labour Flow Analysis (LFA) use customized employment data by sector, from the Statistics Canada Census of Population. CAA uses only data for the employed resident labour force place of residence while LFA uses both place
