What are the different divisions of the Choir? What do they do?
The World Childrens Choir is a professional childrens Choir that gives four season concerts in December, March, and May, and sings by invitation at high profile national and international events. Admission to Opera Ensemble, Bella Voce, Concert and Junior Choirs is by audition only. An audition is not required for International Friends Chorus. Admission to the Performing Arts at the Heart of Literacy Program is by recommendation from a school or private music teacher or classroom teacher. Rehearsals are held in northern Virginia. With current and past singers from over forty countries, the Choir is truly a microcosm of our global village. Members of Opera Ensemble, Bella Voce, Concert Choir, Junior Choir, International Friends Chorus, and Performing Arts at the Heart of Literacy Program sing in three season public concerts.
