A. The T3 sends out messages (determined by the “loglevel” setting) in four categories. You designate in the T3’s /etc/syslog.conf which of these levels to RECEIVE and where to receive them. Generally, they’ll go to the T3’s /syslog file and, if so configured, to a remote host (recommended). See below for the table and description of the four message categories. See p.4-13 of the T3 Administrator’s Guide or p.C-2 of the T3 Field Service Manual for further details.
