What are the different branches of christianity?
As well as all the above denominations, there are also some interesting types of Christianity around the world. There has been a particular upsurge of Christianity in certain far eastern countries such as Korea where they have taken to a pretty traditional form of the religion. See the red areas on the map for countries with a high number of Christians. http://www.gordonconwell.edu/ockenga/glo… There are also some pretty fascinating interpretations of Christianity in the west. These groups usually have a rather different interpretation of the Bible from the ‘traditional’ Christians. Groups such as the Gay Christian community, or groups geared towards young people (particularly during the early 1990’s) who ran services such as ‘not the 9 o’clock service’ often involving loud music and dancing interspersed with charismatic preaching.
