Gothic is a style of architecture which flourished during the high and late medieval period. characteristic features include the pointed arch, the ribbed vault and the flying buttress. Buildings were tall to symbolise reaching towards God. This was popular in churches. They are like the Hunchback of Notre Dame churches. Tall and pointy Romanesque is similar but with the use of domes and curves to have a more short and squatty building somtimes.
