What are the differences in past simple tense and present perfect tense? Please explain :)?

Well, present perfect tense is used to describe a task that was completed in the past. The simple past tense can be used to describe tasks that are repeated in the past or events that follow each other. Simple Past: He walked to school every day. He entered the room, sat down, and ate his lunch. Present Perfect: He has finished his homework. I have taken out the trash. There really isn’t any major difference between the two, except for the fact that the Perfect Tense uses auxiliary verbs (to be or to have). They’re practically the same thing.
