The PI6CV857 has a strong drive and is designed for stacked DIMMs up to DDR266. The PI6CV857LA has a normal drive and is used in planar DIMMs up to DDR266. The PI6CV857B is a superset of both PI6CV857 and PI6CV857L and is designed for both planar and stacked DIMMs up to DDR333. The PI6CVF857B is designed for DDR400.
