The iScan VP50 offers the same innovative deinterlacing algorithms as the Precision Deinterlacing Card (ABT102), which is available for the VP20 and the VP30, for both standard definition (480i/576i) and high definition deinterlacing (1080i). The ABT102 deinterlaces standard definition signals only. The iScan VP50 can also detect the cadence on a progressive input and provide a source-locked output, allowing a judder-free 24/48/72Hz output from film-based content. The iScan VP50 accepts a 1080p input signal from an HD-DVD or Blu-ray Disc player so that the 10-bit Precision Video Scaling in the VP50 can preserve the most amount of detail when this signal is scaled to a lower output resolution.
