The two versions are identical, with only one difference: the free version is limited to running 6 portlets. Only the first 6 portlets are loaded by the free version, and an error message is printed on the console. This version allows you to test the product, even use it on a regular basis, but you will be limited to a page with only one or two tabs. You can give the free version to whoever you want.
