The Rock Band Foam Pads: -Dampen sound well -Have a nice visual appeal to them -Adhere well to the drums w/o loss of sensitivity -Are recommended for casual to normal Rock Band drummers The Rock Band Gum Rubber pads: -Dampen sound well -Last longer due to the natural gum rubber material -Generally don’t provide loss of sensitivity, but can in some instances (some folks use gum rubber along with sock mod) -Are recommended by the Rock Band community for pro & expert Rock Band drummers
