What are the differences between the commercial clients from Synthesis and Nexthaus and the free clients from Funambol?
Each client has its strengths, but the main difference is that the commercial clients from Synthesis and Nexthaus are able to synchronize more information between the hand-held devices and the USA.NET server than the Funambol clients. The Synthesis SyncML client for Windows Mobile can synchronize your calendar, tasks, notes, and contacts, while the Funambol client can only synchronize your calendar and contacts. Additionally, within the syncing of calendar events and contacts, more items of data within each contact and calendar event are synced with the Synthesis client than with the Funambol client. For example, contact photos can sync using Synthesis or Nexthaus but cannot sync with Funambol, and calendar meeting attendees can sync with Synthesis or Nexthaus but cannot sync with Funambol.
