What are the differences between the Base, Searching, Prox, MiFare, and iCLASS models?
All V-Station models contain an integrated keypad and LCD. The differences between the units are in the type of algorithm they utilize and the input required. The V-Station Base model utilizes the Bioscrypt 1:1 Verification algorithm and requires a PIN input in order to initiate the verification. The Searching model utilizes the Bioscrypt 1:500 Searching algorithm and does not require any input (although a PIN input can optionally be accepted). The Prox model contains an HID OEM proximity reader and utilizes the Bioscrypt 1:1 Verification algorithm. This model can accept either a prox card or PIN input. The MiFare model contains a MiFare smart card reader and utilizes the Bioscrypt 1:1 Verification algorithm. This model can accept either a MiFare smart card or PIN input. The iCLASS model contains an iCLASS smart card reader and utilizes the Bioscrypt 1:1 Verification algorithm. This model can accept either an iCLASS smart card or PIN input.
