What are the differences between the BA and BSc Geography degree schemes?
BA Geography and BSc Geography students take the same Geography modules at Level One and choose from the same sets of optional modules at Levels Two and Three; they could take the same courses as each other throughout the 3 years of their degree study. However, students with more of an interest in Human Geography and with Arts subjects at A level (such as English, History or languages) normally choose the BA scheme, and students with more of an interest in Physical Geography and with Science subjects at A level (such as Biology or Computing) normally choose the BSc scheme. But this is not necessarily the case. Other factors that might influence your choice of degree scheme include what subjects you want to study in addition to Geography at Level One, your eventual career path and your personal choice. You can change between these schemes after you have started at Swansea.
