What are the differences between the AlienBees and White Lightning products?
AlienBees and White Lightning are both divisions of Paul C. Buff, Inc. While both lines are similar in design, there are some differences. First, AlienBees and the White Lightning X800 units all have a stepless 6 f-stop power variability, while the White Lightning X1600 and X3200 have an additional quarter-power switch, allowing the units to be powered down an additional 2 f-stops for a total power variability of 8 f-stops.
