What are the differences between the A-16D and the A-16D Pro A-Net Distributors?
The A-16D A-Net Distributor is a half rack space device with one A-Net input and eight A-Net outputs. DC power can be supplied to Personal Mixer products connected to any of the eight output ports by plugging the Personal Mixer’s power supply into the DC input jack on the rear of the A-16D, relocating the power supply. So, for a system with eight Personal Mixers, you would have eight DC power supplies connected to the rear of the A-16D distributor and eight Cat-5 cables connected on the front panel. The A-16D Pro A-Net Distributor is a 2U device with one A-Net input and and built-in, isolated power supplies for each of its eight A-Net output ports. Each port is capable of directly powering one Personal Mixer product (A-16II or A-16R). No other connections are required. A ninth unpowered Thru port allows multiple distributors to be chained together to create larger systems.
