What are the differences between short-term and long-term performance target values?

0

A short-term target value is a performance target identified by OMH as a desired result or set expectation for a management objective for the time period being measured. A short-term target may also be identified to ensure short-term fulfillment of a multi-year initiative or a long-term OMH goal. Short-term target values (and the date by which they are to be achieved) are presented on the face of the Balanced Scorecard. Short-term target dates are generally less than or equal to one fiscal year from the time period for the current value. In contrast, long-term target values are identified by OMH as a desired result or set expectation for a management objective for a multi-year period or to represent a non-time sensitive “ideal target” which may be unattainable (and for which a different, time sensitive target may be established). Long-term target values (and the date by which they are to be achieved) are included in the Definitions of Measures for the Management Objectives.
