What are the differences between saline and silicone implants?
Saline implants are silicone bags filled with saline or sterile salt water. They are safe and effective in helping a woman achieve a fuller looking breast. Generally, the way breasts look after breast augmentation is not any different whether saline or silicone implants is used. Both types of implants generally look fine. The main difference between saline and silicone implants is the way they feel. Silicone implants feel much more natural than saline implants. In some instances, because silicone implants feel so natural, you cannot feel that a silicone implant is even there at all when you feel the breasts. Saline implants however, can be felt in most cases under the breast tissue. It feels much like touching a watery bag through the breast tissue and skin. It does depend though on how much breast tissue a woman has to begin with.
