What are the differences between independent, dependent and constant variables?
An independent variable is something which you can change, like the temperature of a body (by heating or cooling). A dependent variable is the property of the body that changes when something changes. Like in this case, the volume of the body, its electrical resistance etc. A constant variable cannot exist. If something is constant, it is no longer a variable.
