What are the differences between igneous sedimentary and metamorphic rocks?

Igneous rocks are made from volcanoes (lava, magma, ashes, plutons, etc.), sedimentary rocks are formed from sediments (snadstone, shale/mudstone, conglomerate), and metamorphic rocks are rocks that have been ‘metamorphosed’ (in the words of my science teacher).
