What are the differences between Group Health Cooperatives Standard and High Option FEHB plans?

0

A. The Standard Option plan is a low cost plan offered to Washington FEHB employees and retirees in 2010. This plan features Welcome Visits (the first four primary care or specialty office visits each year) that require only a $25 copayment for each visit, and aren’t subject to the annual deductible. You’re also covered in full (up to $500) for outpatient lab and X-ray services in connection with those visits. And, you’re always fully covered for prenatal/postnatal maternity care. If you use additional services during a calendar year, you’ll pay the annual deductible of $500 per individual or $1,500 per family. You’ll also be responsible for copayments and, in most cases, 20% coinsurance. The Standard Option plan doesn’t include dental coverage, so Standard Option members may want to consider enrolling in a Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP). The High Option plan has no annual deductible to worry about. You’ll generally have just a $25 copayment for most out
