What are the differences between gasoline- and diesel- powered motor homes?
The diesel engines develop more torque or power, generally have less maintenance, greater fuel economy and more longterm durability, plus they carry a heavier load (GVWR). Tiffin produces diesel pushers in five model lines, Allegro RED, Allegro Breeze, Phaeton, Allegro Bus, and the top-of-the-line Zephyr, in lengths ranging from 28 to 45 feet. Allegro is currently the only gas engine motor home offered; the Allegro RED, Breeze, Bus, Phaeton and Zephyr are all rear engine diesels. The choice of six different brands enables Tiffin customers to match their needs and budgets within the Tiffin Motorhomes brand. Tiffin led all Class A manufacturers in vehicle reliability/quality, competitive price/value, vehicle design and the five other criteria of dealer satisfaction in the most recent Recreational Vehicle Dealers Association’s annual industry-wide survey.
