What are the differences between EMGs and Seymour Duncan Blackouts?

I think the main differences are that some EMG’s are active and have a 9v battery, but most Seymour Duncan’s and Seymour Duncan Blackouts are active. You still would get a similar tone as the EMG’s but they’re passive so if you wanted to install some into your general humbucker you could do that without having to install a battery holder and what not. It is possible to mix both pickups, but unless you have a battery holder you’d have to get an EMG Hz, which is just the same as a normal EMG but it’s passive instead of active. Both EMG’s and Seymour Duncan’s are made for metal, but I’m sure you’d be able to play whatever you want with them.
