Both the Teaching Fellow and Resident positions are highly competitive and prestigious positions. Fellows and Residents each complete a summer practicum session, prior to the start of the school year, then continue to take courses through Inspired Teaching during the school year and following summer. Residents are placed at either the Inspired Teaching Demonstration Public Charter School or Capital City Public Charter School. There, they work in conjunction with a master teacher, and slowly take more responsibilities in the classroom as the year progresses. Fellows, with the help of Inspired Teaching, must secure their own lead teacher placement for the Fall and begin the year at either a DC public or charter school.
