What are the differences between arbitration and other forms of dispute resolution?
Arbitration differs from litigation in that it is consensual: the parties must agree to resolve their dispute by arbitration. Unlike mediation or conciliation, an arbitrator decides the dispute. Generally, an arbitrator may only act on material provided by the parties.
