What are the differences between a yacht tour and a land/sea tour?
A yacht cruise in Galapagos is the conventional way to visit the islands. We also offer trips combining land and sea travel, which include visits to fewer islands, cost slightly less than even a basic yacht tour, and offer more land based activities such as horseback riding and hiking. The advantage to a boat tour is that you will see more islands, each one with a slightly different land and water environment. A land tour still gives a good sampling of the islands, and generally includes a stay on Isabella, the largest of the islands with very diverse terrain that many boats do not visit. With a land tour, more of your money stays in Galapagos, and thus offers more aid to the local population. Land tours also tend to be a bit more flexible, offering more time to visit and enjoy sites of interest.
