What are the difference between public and private school in the Philippines?
I believe the main difference between the 2 is money. Public schools offer free education while parents pay through their noses for private school education. In general kids who came out of private school have better prospects than those from public schools. This is partly due to their parents having higher assets……and therefore….more influences. Academically, kids from either type of schools perform more or less on par……..proving that richer doesnt mean smarter……… and poorer doesnt mean less intelligent! However, there is general suspicion that kids from richer families i.e. private schools are lazier and less determined to do well…………… while kids from public schools work harder……… though not necessarily in academic work…….. but suffer more distractions……………….again….… or sports related types.
