Air borne infections are things such as TB which travels through the air, when it comes out of someones mouth/nose it is not heavy enough to fall to the ground it remains air borne. Diseases are not usually caused by air pollution air pollutions may aggravate diseases such as asthma. (i am not sure if asbestosis is air pollution but it travels through the air and can cause other diseases such as cancer.
