What are the Design Guidelines?
First plan the Default FlipBook Size which is the screen resolution you want to design and create the flipbook in. This will determine later which Javascript to use. If your Default FlipBook Size is 1024×768, then you must design your page within a 410 pixels by 520 pixels area. If your Default FlipBook Size is 800X600, then you must design your page within a 300 pixels by 380 pixels area.
The Design Review Board enforces the Design Guidelines, Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions. Hammersmith administers the DRB policies and processes architectural applications. The guidelines convey community policies about the design of alterations to existing structures, additions, new construction and site work on historic properties. However, they do not dictate solutions. Instead, they define a range of appropriate responses to a variety of specific design issues. Who should use the Guidelines? Property owners, real estate agents, developers, tenants and architects should use these design guidelines when beginning a project that affects a Heritage Resource or property listed on the Towns Survey of Historically Significant Resources. This will help establish an appropriate direction for the project. The applicant should refer to these guidelines at the outset, to avoid planning efforts that may later prove to be inappropriate.
