The Desert Demonstration Gardens now a part of the Springs Preserve, and are now called The Gardens at the Springs Preserve. They are a service of the Las Vegas Valley Water District to show the beauty of water-efficient landscaping. The Gardens include 2.4 acres with 11 different landscape areas and over 180 species of vegetation. The Gardens are located at 3701 W. Alta Drive and are open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. Call (702) 822-8344.
