The racial makeup of the city was 48.36% White, 44.11% African American, 0.46% Native American, 2.81% Asian, 0.11% Pacific Islander, 1.67% from Race (United States Census)other races, and 2.48% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.80% of the population.
