Milled: The 3/8″ Clapboard profile is milled into the surface of the exterior walls. This is the easiest and quickest way to own a house with clapboard siding, because it is built in and ready to paint. Milled kits come in two versions: MP or Milled Plywood: This is Cabinet Grade Plywood with the clapboard milled into the exterior surfaces. MM or Milled MDF: This is MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) with the clapboard milled into the exterior surfaces. When there is a choice between “MP” or “MM” finish, the only difference between the two kits is the material of the exterior walls, everything else in the kit stays the same except the interior walls in the MP kits are also made of plywood. SP or Smooth Plywood: The exterior walls are smooth (no siding or texture profile). “SP” kits include everything you see in the pictures except: Clapboard Siding, Edge Trim, Shingles and sometimes Shutters.
