The default DIP switch settings for a U.S.Robotics Sporster 28800 FAX (V32bis,V.FC,V32.V34) modem are: 3, 5 and 8 down (ON), all other up (OFF) However, if the modem requires a reset, switch it off, place DIP switches 3, 5, 7, and 8 down (ON), all other up (OFF). Switch the modem on and test.
