To answer your questions: If someone elbows you in the eye really bad, it depends on if you’re wearing hard/RGP contact lenses or soft/hydrophilic contact lenses. If soft lenses, not a problem at all. Hard contacts might scratch the eye a little bit in that scenario, though. There is also the risk of corneal ulcers, but that almost always only occurs with people who don’t take care of their contact lenses.
