What are the dangers of Totalitarianism?
Totalitarianism is when a country is governed by one man that controls everything. This man can do what he wants. To get this kind of control he mostly uses the power of propaganda. By telling people again and again how wonderfull he is and that he can do anything for them they want he gets control of a whole country. By hearing again and again that he is wonderfull and that others may be not, you begin to believe him. The other method used to achieve this totalitarianism is with the use of fear. By eliminating everyone that may be against your control you don’t only eliminate competition, but also future competition, because you erase all independent thinking. Nazi Germany was not the same as all the other totalitarian states in history, because it made use of modern technology. An example is the use of low frequency radio’s that could be bought for a low price in Germany. These radio’s only could receive German channels that would broadcast all of Hitler’s speeches.
