The health dangers are moderate in that the salmon are packed so tightly in their own feces and are fed antibiotics to prevent disease like factory farmed animals in this respect. The bacterial count is so high that, for example, Chilean farm-raised salmon had to be pulled from the shelves because it made people in the U.S. sick.
